Dec. 23 – Kozak (upper body) skates with team, not playing Tuesday

Forward Tyson Kozak skated with the team Tuesday morning but isn't in the lineup at Ottawa. Josh Dunne is again centering the fourth line in Kozak's place.

Tyson Kozak, F (upper body) – Out since Dec. 18

Kozak sustained the injury Dec. 18 versus Philadelphia and has missed the following three games. - Last updated Dec. 23

Conor Timmins, D (broken leg) – Out since Dec. 18

Timmins left the Sabres’ win over the Flyers on Dec. 18 late during the third period with a broken leg. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks and was placed on injured reserve Dec. 20. - Last updated Dec. 20

Colten Ellis, G (concussion) – Out since Dec. 9

Ellis was pulled from Buffalo's game in Edmonton on Dec. 9 late in the first period following a hit to the head from Oilers forward David Tomasek. He entered concussion protocol and was placed on injured reserve Dec. 11. He's been practicing with the team since the Dec. 18 morning skate but remains on IR. - Last updated Dec. 23

Jason Zucker, F (upper and lower body) – Out since Dec. 8

Zucker sustained multiple injuries during the Dec. 8 game in Calgary and was placed on injured reserve the next day. He's expected to return to the lineup "post-Christmas," Ruff announced on Dec. 17. - Last updated Dec. 17

Jiri Kulich, F (blood clot) – Out since Nov. 1

Kulich missed the team’s game on Nov. 1 due to an issue related to fluid in his ears. Coach Lindy Ruff announced on Nov. 10 that the issue was discovered to be related to a blood clot and that it would cause the forward to miss “significant time.” Jarmo Kekäläinen had no update on Kulich when asked Dec. 23, but the GM said he "certainly hopes" he'll play again this season. - Last updated Dec. 23

Justin Danforth, F (lower body) – Out since Oct. 15

Danforth exited the Oct. 15 win with a lower-body injury - later announced to be a broken kneecap - after blocking a shot. He had surgery to repair the injury and "is doing OK now," coach Lindy Ruff said when asked about Danforth's status on Dec. 17. - Last updated Dec. 17
