High-danger goals: 15 - Jake Guentzel (F, TBL) and Tyler Bertuzzi (F, CHI)

Guentzel scored a high-danger goal for the Tampa Bay Lightning against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, tying Bertuzzi of the Chicago Blackhawks for the NHL lead in that category. Guentzel also leads the NHL in high-danger shots on goal (64) this season.

Guentzel has scored 15 of his 17 goals (in 36 games) this season from high-danger areas, while Bertuzzi has scored 15 of his 16 (in 33 games) from high-danger zones.

Hardest shot attempt: 103.03 miles per hour - Morgan Geekie (F, BOS)

Geekie reached the League's hardest shot for the Boston Bruins in the third period against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 11. In the hunt for the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy, Geekie ranks second in the NHL in goals (25) behind Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche (30).

Geekie, who also had a 100.86 mph shot on Oct. 27, is one of four NHL players with multiple 100-plus mph attempts this season; the others are Winnipeg Jets defenseman Colin Miller (three), New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock and Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Louis Crevier (two each).

High-danger save percentage: .887 - Brandon Bussi (G, CAR)

Among goalies to play at least 10 games this season, Bussi leads the NHL in high-danger save percentage, stopping 102 of 115 high-danger shots faced. The Hurricanes goalie, who's been in a three-goalie rotation with Frederik Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov, is 11-1-1 with a .913 save percentage and one shutout this season.

Prior to Bussi's shootout loss to the Florida Panthers on Friday, he tied Cam Ward (2008-09) for the longest winning streak in franchise history (nine games). The Hurricanes, as a team, are once again leading the NHL in offensive zone time percentage (45.7) and 5-on-5 shot attempts percentage (58.9) this season.

Skating speed: 24.61 miles per hour - Connor McDavid (F, EDM)

McDavid reached his top skating speed of the NHL EDGE tracking era (since 2021-22) for the Edmonton Oilers in the second period against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 8, surpassing his previous high of 24.19 mph from the 2023-24 season.

The only top skating speed faster than McDavid's mark in the regular season or Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2021-22 was Miles Wood (24.82 mph) last season. McDavid leads the NHL in both 22-plus mph speed bursts (70) and 20-plus mph bursts (311) this season.
